Privacy Policy
We collect the information we need to answer your estimate request, and not much else. This page explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it.
Last updated: July 2026. We are a Calgary roofing company, not a data company. We aim to handle personal information in line with the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If anything on this page is unclear, email info@roofrightcalgary.ca and a person will answer.
What we collect
The information you give us
Almost everything we hold about you is information you typed into a form or told us on the phone. We do not buy data about you, and we do not collect more than the job needs.
- Estimate and contact forms
- When you request an estimate or send us a message, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, property address, and the service you are interested in, plus anything you choose to write in the message field. That is the full list of form fields we collect.
- Phone and email
- If you call or email us directly, we keep the details you share the same way any contractor keeps job notes: your contact information, the property address, and what you asked about.
- Website analytics
- We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use this site: which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. These tools set cookies and collect usage data such as pages visited and approximate location. They do not tell us who you are, and we do not connect analytics data to your estimate request.
How we use it
Why we collect it and where it goes
One purpose: responding to you about your roof. Here is the honest mechanics of what happens after you press submit.
- Responding to your request
- We use your contact details to reach you about your estimate request, schedule the visit, and follow up on the work you asked about. We may also use them to answer a warranty claim or a question about a past project.
- How form submissions travel
- When you submit a form, an email service provider delivers your submission to our inbox. That provider processes the submission on our behalf as part of delivering it; it is not free to use your information for its own purposes.
- What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to marketers. The only people who see your details are the people who need them to respond to your request.
Retention
How long we keep it
Plain language, because retention policies rarely are.
- If you become a customer
- We keep your project records for as long as your warranty runs, plus whatever business and tax records the law requires us to hold. A 15-year workmanship warranty is only useful if we can still find your file in year fourteen.
- If you only asked for an estimate
- We keep estimate inquiries long enough to respond and follow up, then they age out of our inbox the way ordinary business email does. If you want your inquiry deleted sooner, ask and we will delete it.
- Your choices
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we are legally required to keep). You can also decline cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
